LECTER'S ROOM series of wallpaper designs, 2007
Commisioned by ZNAK company, Latvia.
All the ornaments are designed in the width of 46,5 cm and should be multiplied vertically on the wallpaper rolls. When applied to the walls, wallpapers should be combined freely, though it is recommended to apply one type of ornament to one wall and another type of ornament to another wall. Also it’s good to use one type of ornament for all the walls in the room, flat or house. There are seven following types of ornaments:
Lecter's Masks
This is an ornament made from the Hannibal Lecter’s masks that were drawn (copied) while watching the films in which Dr. Lecter appears.

Red Dragons
This is an ornament made from the Francis Dolarhyde’s Red Dragon tattoo image. It was redrawn from memory, while trying to give more human shape to it. It appeared to be quite similar to the Red Dragon depicted by William Blake. Where is the similarity?

Corners of Movie Posters
These four ornaments are made from the corners of each cinema poster of the movies Manhunter (1986), Silence of the Lambs (1991), Hannibal (2001), Red Dragon (2002) and Hannibal Rising (2007).

Banner Tree Forrest and My Way Through It
These trees with banners saying “Hurt, Agony, Pain, Love-It” are re-drawn and multiplied from the short scene of the Silence of the Lambs movie where agent Clarice Starling is making her way through.

The Last Ride of Catherine
It is a serie of 24 video stills captured from the movie Silence of the Lambs. The stills were converted into ASCII format and subtitled with the lyrics that Catherine Martin is singing on the captured scene, where she is on her straight way to the hands of serial killer called Buffalo Bill.
