Model of EchO))) Distribution marked map, large print, sound, action

This work was produced for the exhibition DE_constructing which took place in Hotel Mariakapel, Hoorn, The Netherlands, 2007/11/25

Model of EchO))) Distribution is based on recording of sustained Mariakapel's natural echo. The echo was extended till the duration of one hour and burned onto 15 audio CDs. The anonymously packaged CDs were distributed (dropped) in locations marked on the map of Hoorn. The locations were marked according to the symbol of a sound wave - O)))

In the exhibition this work was presented in 3 parts: sustained sound of the echo via loudspeakers, print of the marked map, large print of the O))) symbol. CDs were dropped during 5 days. There were made no attempts to trace the CDs after they were dropped in the locations.
